ElectronicaFest is a celebration of electronic music, technology, and the history of electronics, held in support of the National Electronics Museum. The event brings together experimental electronic musicians, artists, makers, and technology enthusiasts for a day of performances and exploration.

Now in its long-running series of events, ElectronicaFest features live experimental and electronic music performed by artists from the region and beyond. The event offers a unique opportunity to experience music created with synthesizers, electronic instruments, computers, circuits, and other technologies while supporting the preservation of electronics history.

More Than Music

ElectronicaFest takes place at the National Electronics Museum and includes opportunities to explore the museum's collections and exhibits. Visitors can tour the museum between performances, meet other electronics enthusiasts, and take part in hands-on activities such as the Plug 'N Play Jam Room.

Whether you are interested in electronic music, vintage technology, electronics, computers, or simply looking for a unique day of entertainment, ElectronicaFest offers something for everyone.

Supporting the National Electronics Museum

ElectronicaFest is a fundraiser for the National Electronics Museum. Proceeds help support the Museum's mission to collect, preserve, and exhibit the history of electronics and to encourage the study of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

By attending ElectronicaFest, you are helping the National Electronics Museum preserve important artifacts and stories from the history of electronics while inspiring future generations to explore technology and engineering.

Come for the music. Explore the technology. Support the Museum.

A History of ElectronicaFest

ElectronicaFest has become an annual tradition connecting the National Electronics Museum's interest in technology with the creative possibilities of electronic music. Over the years, the festival has brought together musicians, synthesizer enthusiasts, electronics hobbyists, and museum supporters for a unique celebration of sound and technology.

The festival has grown into a recurring event in the Museum's calendar. By 2020, the event had reached its 12th edition, and ElectronicaFest 13 followed in 2022. ElectronicaFest 14 was held in November 2023, followed by ElectronicaFest 15 and ElectronicaFest 16 in subsequent years.

ElectronicaFest also played an important role in supporting the Museum during a period of significant change. Following the Museum's relocation, the festival continued at the Computer Museum at System Source in Hunt Valley. The proceeds from ElectronicaFest 14, for example, helped support the National Electronics Museum as it established its exhibits at its new location.

As the National Electronics Museum continues to evolve, ElectronicaFest remains a celebration of the connection between technology, creativity, and community. What began as a gathering centered on electronic music has become part of the Museum's continuing story—bringing people together to experience both the history of electronics and the many ways electronic technology can be used to create something new.

ElectronicaFest continues to support the National Electronics Museum while celebrating the past, present, and future of electronic technology.
