Research

We are currently unable to accept new research requests.

The National Electronics Museum welcomes and encourages researchers to make use of our Collections. Access to materials not on display is granted by special arrangement, requests for which must be made at least two weeks in advance. We will make every effort to accommodate research requests; however, circumstances such as storage location, size, and stability may restrict access to some materials. For in-person research, please make an appointment at least two weeks in advance of your anticipated visit to ensure availability of staff assistance as well as your desired research materials. For some requests a research and/or reproduction fee may apply. See our Research Policy and Fee Schedule here.

Please contact nemuseum@gmail.com with your research request.

Appointments
No appointment is necessary to visit the museum Library, however, due to tours, special events, and space availability we encourage you to schedule an appointment to ensure access. Staff assisted Library research requires an appointment.

Many collections and archival materials are not stored in the Library and require advance preparation to be accessed. All archival and object collection research must have an appointment scheduled in advance.

Library Hours
The Library is usually open to the public during museum hours:
Monday – Friday 9-4
3rd and 4th Saturdays 10-2

The Library follows the same closure schedule as the museum galleries, and may also be closed to the public during some special events.
